The Salmon & Trout Association (S&TA) is a freshwater fisheries-based environmental charity. We are currently looking for a Fundraising Manager to identify, develop and manage income generating relationships with grant-making trusts, foundations and other funding bodies, including corporates, and to advise volunteers on local and national fund raising activities. This is an important time in the charity's development as we seek to expand our historic membership subscription base to a more diversified income strategy, led by our mission to protect and conserve salmonid and other fish species, and the aquatic habitats necessary for them to thrive.
Your major tasks will include research into potential funders, writing compelling application bids and working closely with our Trustees, small executive team and volunteers to help plan and deliver an ambitious funding strategy.
Applicants should have in depth experience of researching and working with grant-making Trusts and other funders, a proven ability to write successful proposals, and a successful track record in obtaining funds from trusts and general fundraising.
Contract: initial 2 years with review to extension after 18 months
Closing date for applications: February 8th 2013
