Outside London our local branches organise many social events during the summer and winter months. Many local branches organise a series of fishing dates, and also fundraising dinners

For children, the S&TA, often through local branches, organise a series of Fly Fishing courses throughout the country. Participants are taught the basics of casting by qualified instructors, and are also made aware of the important role that angling plays in the countryside. An increasing number of our local branches have junior sections, where children can fish safely under the supervision of adults.

Finally, S&TA staff at Head Office are always on hand to help members with queries and provide advise, and, if they don't know the answer, they will usually know someone who does!
