We have excellent contacts in both Houses of Parliament and the devolved Governments in Scotland and Wales.
Our staff have a close working relationship with senior officials in the European Commission, UK Ministries, the Scottish Executive, and many government agencies, including The Environment Agency (EA), Natural England (NE), Sport England and Scottish National Heritage (SNH). These contacts are integral to the key work of the Association on legislative and regulatory reform
S&TA plays a leading role in the Fisheries and Angling Conservation Trust (FACT), the umbrella organisation representing the 10 leading fisheries and angling organisations in England, and in the Angling Development Board (ADB), in which , with our partners from the coarse and sea angling organisations, we seek to professionalise angling coaching in a safe and equitable environment that is available to all people from every background.
S&TA is also a member of the European Angling Alliance which gives us influence in the European Parliament, and allies us with similar organisations across Europe.

Chaired by Lord Moran, past Chairman of the Salmon & Trout Association, the Moran Committee is the united voice for all the main fisheries and angling organisations in England and Wales, and aims to reach consensus views on fisheries issues.
