Where to fish
The chances are that there is a river, stream or lake near you where you can experience the joys of being close to nature and the chance to fish. But firstly you will need:-
- An Environment Agency licence – a legal requirement for anyone aged 12 or over. This is available on line HERE or from your local post office
- The permission of the person or organisation that has the fishing rights to the water you wish to fish – once obtained ensure any fishery rules are observed.
Looking for somewhere to fish? A local fishing tackle shop will be able to offer some advice or alternatively you could contact a local fishing club or search on the web for details of a fishery close to you. The following web sites can also be of help:-
